Ming Chuan University Collaborates with Industry to Launch AI Workforce Training Program, Enhancing Students\u2019 Job Readiness<\/b><\/h5>\n

In response to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and the accelerating trend of digital transformation across industries, the Department of Digital Media Design at Ming Chuan University has partnered with Seven Algorithm Integration Co., Ltd., along with six enterprises spanning digital design, audiovisual production, electronic technology, and integrated marketing. Together, they officially launched the \u201cAI Job-Ready Workforce Enhancement Program\u201d on March 9.<\/p>\n

This initiative adopts a collaborative model involving both industry professionals and students, aiming to strengthen the practical linkage between academia and industry. Through hands-on engagement, students not only learn AI technologies but also gain direct exposure to real-world challenges faced by enterprises in business operations and digital transformation. This approach enables students to develop the ability to analyze and solve practical problems effectively.<\/p>\n

The training program focuses on cultivating interdisciplinary AI integration capabilities, aligning with the educational goals of \u201cindustry-driven talent development\u201d and \u201ccurriculum enhancement,\u201d while significantly improving students\u2019 competitiveness in the future job market. According to Department Chair Dr. Shih-Chien Chan, the structured training series allows students to grasp AI application trends and related technologies, while also gaining insights into corporate management and decision-making processes through industry-academia co-creation. This provides a solid foundation for their future career development.<\/p>\n

In addition, to keep pace with the rapid evolution of AI technologies, the Department established the \u201cAI Audiovision Nexus Lab\u201d in 2025. The lab offers a comprehensive experimental environment that supports AI-assisted illustration, animation generation, AI music and sound design, as well as interactive interface development. Equipped with high-performance hardware and professional software, the lab enables students to master generative design workflows and AI application logic through practical training. As a result, students are well-prepared with industry-relevant skills prior to graduation, embodying Ming Chuan University\u2019s \u201cTen Competencies Education\u201d philosophy and demonstrating its ongoing commitment to AI education and industry-academia collaboration.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

To enhance faculty expertise in the professional application of generative artificial intelligence, nine faculty members from the Department of Digital Media participated in and successfully passed the \u201cGenerative AI Art and Design Competency\u201d certification examination organized by the Institute for Information Industry<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This certification focuses on the practical application of generative AI in visual creation and art design. The assessment covers AI image generation workflows, prompt engineering, creative integration strategies, and ethical considerations in AI usage. Through structured training and formal evaluation, participating faculty members have strengthened their ability to integrate AI tools into both teaching practice and creative production.<\/p>\n

One of the world\u2019s most influential design awards, the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2025<\/span>, held its award ceremony on November 7, 2025<\/span>, at the Konzerthaus Berlin<\/span> in Germany.<\/p>\n

The 22nd Graduation Exhibition Curatorial Team<\/span> of the Department of Digital Media Design at Ming Chuan University<\/span>, titled D-mart<\/span>, was honored with the Red Dot Award: Winner<\/span>. Faculty members and students traveled to Berlin<\/span> to attend the ceremony in person, marking a significant milestone in the department\u2019s international achievements.<\/p>\n

To encourage and nurture the next generation of film and media talents, the Taoyuan Film & Culture Hall<\/span> launched the \u201cTraces of Light\u201d Film Festival<\/span>, featuring a special program titled Youth Film and Media Promotion & Education<\/span>. As part of this initiative, Relocation<\/span>, a 2023 graduation film<\/span> by students from the Department of Digital Media Design at Ming Chuan University<\/span>, was officially selected for screening.<\/p>\n

The event also invited the student director<\/span> to participate in a post-screening discussion<\/span>, providing an opportunity for young filmmakers to share their creative process and engage in dialogue with the audience. Ming Chuan University Digital Media Design Animations Move Judges to Tears at the 16th \u201cTouching Moments\u201d National Short Film Competition<\/h5>\n

The <\/span>16th \u201cTouching Moments\u201d National Campus Short Film Competition, jointly organized by the <\/span>ASUS Foundation and <\/span>Public Television Service (PTS), held its award ceremony on <\/span>September 27. Students from the <\/span>Department of Digital Media Design at Ming Chuan University stood out among nearly <\/span>400 submissions, winning a <\/span>Bronze Award and <\/span>two Honorable Mentions in the <\/span>Horizontal Short Video Category with three animated works: <\/span>Transient Cycles Fading into the Wind, <\/span>The Butcher and the Cat, and <\/span>Last Wag.<\/span><\/p>\n
